Formerly kentuckyschnauzers, we have simplified our
name to 62dogs. No, we don't have anywhere near 62
dogs,we live off of highway 62. My family and I live on
several acres of rolling Kentucky hills in Boston, about
25 miles south of Louisville. We've been here a lot of
years raising a family and taking care of every critter
the kids could drag in. Currently we share our place
with quarter horses, a few chickens, George, a cat
that thinks we were all put here for HIS pleasure, (he
permeates our lives; as you'll see plenty of later) and
my great love-the schnauzers. It all started many years
ago when my Mom said, "I'd like a dog" My parents,
not being animal lovers, would need the perfect dog. I
researched long and hard to find a perfect breed;
non-shedding, hypo-allergenic, obedient, intelligent,
good with kids, small, adaptable, and quiet. How many
do you think fit? This is the only breed that I could find
that fit all the criteria. The search began. I started out
with Maggie, a little black ball of fluff with a squeeky
voice and a big heart. To make a long story short, my
parents never got Maggie. And I have schnauzers; toy
and miniature schnauzers, liver schnauzers, black &
silver schnauzers, liver & tan schnauzers, black
schnauzers, salt & pepper, parti color... well, you get
the picture. Many of my dogs are shaved down due to
loving the great outdoors and all that entails;
cuckleburrs, sticktights, and MUD. We're not fashion
statements at our house but we enjoy nature and I
want my dogs with me. All dogs are AKC registered.
Pups are ready for new homes between 6-8 weeks
depending on whether you personally pick them up or
shipped.
***All pups have NATURAL ears, dewclaws removed
and tails docked. A natural tail can be left by request
before the age of 3 days. I prefer natural tails and so
do my dogs. Please go to links page for current
information on docking & cropping. I'd like for you to
email me with your views. Would a natural tail prevent
